(Community Matters) Gotta be kidding me. Whomever decided to even try delisting LGBT literature from Amazon listings. . . . well, I’ll leave internal matters to them. Their board ought to ask itself what could have been the ramifications – can they even quantify lost sales if LGBT community would have boycotted? (if not every weekday, at least 3 out of 5 at minimum and often 5 out of 5, books from Amazon delivered to our home).
Thanks to everyone who raised the flags and encouraged Amazon to backdown.
(Community Matters) Good gosh, way much food and good company. What a delightful Easter Sunday.
Church was packed. Loved connecting with our regular tribe and all those who return on special holidays, plus guests for first or near-first time including Tim McCabe, Paul Scott & Scott Simons. ZTejas brunchette with Joyce Christian, Rudy Green, Rickie Green, Tim McCabe, ST and me. Then a quick drive by to pick up our new friend and housemate, Luke Hayes. Luke is the Texas statewide director for President Obama’s new, national organizing initiative, Organizing for America (OFA). With Luke & ST, raced to join the Meredith & Mullen families for their Easter brunch. yum, Lynn rather effortlessly whipping up lamb, beef, salad, potatos, etc and of course, Tommy pulling out a choice wine. Raced home to meet Francis Trevino & John Phillip Santos for a bit of bubbly celebrating the holiday and their one year anniversary. Their anniversary and they brought us gifts, their books of poetry – gotta love that! (JP’s second novel in final edit then going to print by Penguin). All the friends & merriment (and maybe too the wine & bubbly) making for an early night – and a terrific Easter Holiday.
