(Community Matters) Steven and I had a blast last night at Nancy Graves’ surprise birthday party. Can’t believe I forgot my camera. I’ve poached a picture ST posted off Nancy’s (uncompleted) Facebook site.
One of those rare surprise parties where they’re actually, honestly surprised – her hubbie, Keith’s attention to detail. We parked across 290 (they’re near Dripping Springs) and a friend ferried guests to their urban ranch. Folks roasted Nancy – Margaret Keys & Janine Sagert currently in San Miguel – sent their recorded comments via ST. Loved that the celebration included children of their friends, Max’s & Emma’s (their twin children) friends – who expressed their affections as well, most in poem. They and many friends in the community of Austin Waldorf School.
Hubby Keith is a successful graphic artist and musician. I knew he illustrated & wrote childrens books, just didn’t realize he also wrote novels. his site
