(Community Matters) I was just reminded about Jennifer Gale’s passing. I meant to post on this earlier in the week. Jennifer was a proud, transgender woman.
I didn’t know Jennifer very well, though we’d spoken many times – most recently at the 29th St CVS around Halloween. I didn’t realize Jennifer had been in the Marines. And, she still had great respect for the corp. Another man in line noted he’d been an officer, prompting Jennifer to straighten up and salute the man.
Haven’t heard about the cause of death. Jennifer was found still asleep and dead outside the church just a couple of blocks from our house. When people reflect on Reagan’s legacy, I’m always reminded of the millions rendered homeless during his presidency.
