(Community Matters) Today (Sunday, May 3) is Lemonade Day in Austin. All over town kids at 2,500 stands will be selling lemonade and earning big bucks. Last year in Houston, 11,600 stands – the kids earned $1,300,000 and even donated $220,000 to charity. The initiative is intended to promote entrepreneurship and philanthropy and is sponsored by the Andra & Joe Liemandt, Trilogy and the Entrepreneurs Foundation. Rohit Srinivasan got a head start with his lemonade stand – he launched yesterday at Kula Yoga in Tarrytown. Rohit is the son of my friends Krishna & Raka Srinivasan. Luke Hayes, Michael Mitchell & I were three of his customers on the way to Amy’s & Kirk’s.
