(Community Matters) Quick last minute trip to Houston on Wednesday, back early afternoon yesterday. Had an important video conference call scheduled and after reflecting on the agenda and possible difficulty of conversations, occurred to me the relationship could be derailed if we weren’t in person. Good call – if I do say so myself. It was a tough meeting but we waded through the tough issues and came out on the right side.
Lucky me, the Hotel Icon had an incredible special going. Isn’t Facebook great? Didn’t have time to call family or friends that I was in town, but a couple of friends noticed on Facebook. David Andrews pinged me, picked me up and we went out for drinks at a super wine tasting bar. Met a friend of his, Andy Roeser, a neurosurgeon who’s newly returned to Houston and practicing at Methodist. Walker Moody and I had breakfast at Voice yesterday morning – the proud new papa doing super.
About 3 hours in meeting with Michael Holthouse mid morning until early afternoon. All ended great. Looking forward to moving forward.
