(Community Matters) Not an easy call. In the end, I support the investigation. Might be difficult for us while we wade through this; nevertheless, I fear we’ve just gone through an unprecedented period of lawlessness in federal government – a real threat to our constitution. President Obama can decide who to pardon but Attorney General Eric Holder has a responsibility to pursue the investigation of criminal conduct – especially in government.

(Community Matters) My husband is – in many ways – really easy to please

(Community Matters) Well, to admit: I’ve now caught up on Mad Men. Had never seen an episode until downloading first off iTunes while in Marfa. Subsequently downloaded first and second season, watched DVR recorded third season opener and Sunday Steven and I watched second show of this season.

hmm, yeah, I’m enjoying it – it’s smart, rather dense and atypically not fast. I’m still perplexed why so fascinating – perhaps because hard to believe this was life just 50 – 40 years ago. Well, not in my world but in the upper middle class, anglo world.

(Community Matters) Pleased to read that even Montana Senator Max Baucus is now calling for a public option in health insurance reform. Seems his progressive constituents are being heard and OFA efforts are starting to payoff. Senate Democrats should deploy reconciliation procedures to pass health insurance reform if Republicans continue to refuse negotiating for meaningful reform.
