(Community Matters) Seriously, Lauren Pierce, a UT student leader, President of UT College Republicans, joking about assassinating the President of the United States? And, this young woman is an intern for Lt Gov David Dewhurst?
Looks like she walked back the comments, deleted the original tweet, and apologized.

Recantation and apology notwithstanding, I bet she gets a visit from Secret Service soon if she hasn’t already. They take even “joke” threats seriously (as IMO they should).
