(Community Matters) long and full day in Istanbul. Arrived yesterday to see our “nephew,” Brent Huggins who’s doing a semester abroad. Brent’s our cousin but b/c of age difference, in the Mexican family tradition, we call him our nephew. Staying in the old city, Sultanahmet, overlooking the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. Dr. Steven Robert Tomlinson, with whom I’ve spent the last 24 years – nineteen years since we were married on Salt Spring Island, British Columbia, Canada. Then, married again at St. James Episcopal Church in Austin, TX on June 27, 2015.
