(Community Matters) Thankfully no sign of truth to the rumor that local megalomaniac Mike Levy filed notice of a treasurer for his mayoral race.
why do I beat up on Levy? Because he’s been a horrific bully to so many people working so hard for good in our community. This doesn’t mean i don’t think he doesn’t sometimes have good points to make. We’ve especially agreed on the need for affordable housing in Austin. We’ve discussed this on the telephone. Nevertheless, he’s vindictive, literally (and probably clinically) a megalomaniac and would wreck havoc on our council. Despite his comments that I’ve refused his invitations to meet over a meal (which he has extended and which I have repeatedly declined), he conveniently omits the fact that we have previously met over a meal. At that meal, he offered me and colleagues a charitable contribution if we would depose a nonprofit board leader who he detests. I’ve always regreted not walking out of the luncheon, though I did vehemently express my disgust with the offer.
