Spring Cleaning

(Community Matters) The courtyard is looking super this spring/summer. I took the afternoon off yesterday, Sarah, John and I worked on “courtyard spring cleaning.”

courtyard into poolhouse

thinned out the stream just slightly

thinned out the Buddha bamboo considerably

completely cleaned out the middle pond & this morning added comet goldfish
(have to test sustainability against racoons and possums of 2nd pond (shallow) this season)

stream between 2nd and 3rd pond

3rd pond – calico & fantail goldfish and koi

Nangini II (earlier last month)

Can’t believe we didn’t see Nangini II yesterday, though we intentionally didn’t disturb the top pond and plants and I’ve noticed she escapes up there during the day sometimes
