Didn’t make it to Javon Jackson performance at St. James after all but hear Saturday night’s and Sunday’s were outstanding.
Spent the entire day conquering the IRS’s new 990 form (tax return for nonprofits). How silly am I? Ernst & Young generously agrees to prepare our tax return each year, but since such significant changes to the form & reporting, felt I should complete this year’s. (didn’t help that the online system I used suggested the EZ format but after 3 hours and at nearly the very last question I was informed we were not eligible for the EZ format – so started over).
Dinner with Cameron and Michael at Maudi’s. Wow, such a disappointing meal – even the tacos al pastor were off. Good conversation though, albeit a thread left untended. I think Cameron left unsatisfied by our insufficient explanation why we didn’t want to go to a party of all 20 year olds. I’ve spent time this morning composing an email and explaining how these days we look for nights to stay home, rather than events to attend, and how attending anything with mostly people we don’t know doesn’t prioritize against the insufficient number of evenings to spend with friends we would love to see. Of course, there are plenty of the latter but they prioritize for business, politics or by some other manner.
I’m just a needy godson, that’s all!
It’s a cleaner, sharper look. I like it. Hopefully, you can figure out the tech issues surrounding blog management.
