I don’t begrudge Perry & his campaign for this not-surprising move (all’s fair in . . . ) but their bold face lies denying involvement are so indicative of the dishonesty & corruption now ruling our state from the governor’s office

Did Republican agents help fund the Green petition drive? Yeah, they probably did, but so what? Should the wishes of 90,000 registered voters be ignored because of the motivation of the petition funders? If the “Democratic” Party really stood for democratic values, it would compete to win over potential Green voters, by actually fighting for progressive causes, and it wouldn’t resort to undemocratic methods to deny Texas voters a wider variety of choices in November.
