(Community Matters) The buzz officially started this weekend – Hopfields at 3110 Guadalupe (yep, that’s just outside our back gate 🙂 )
A neighbor has favorably alerted us by list serve and Michael Barnes announced a popular downtown bartender will man the bar.
Bay & Lindsay Anthon have opened their anticipated French gastropub featuring beers but also serving “savory” cocktails. Carter Wilsford is running their bar. Hopfields serves “French-style street food.” I’m not sure what that means but damn sure plan to try (maybe this evening after the Joe & Teresa Long’s fundraiser for Joaquin Castro). The chef is Lindsay’s mom, Connie Zuloaga who’s from France and reportedly cooking family recipes including crepes, tartes and pissaladiere. Nice write up in Austin Eater.
