It’s fun to imagine I know who many of the people are from some of the foreign countries. Though, admittedly after nearly 6 years (4,773 posts) of blogging at this site (on top of 2 previously on the AAS site), I realize lots of hits are google searches for specific topics. Using various approaches to estimating unique visitors, appears CM gets receives 3k to 7k unique visitors per week – including periodic private notes from readers in many parts of the country and globe.
by the way, a reader recently suggested that I might be exaggerating the people in Austin and around the country I cite on my blog and suggest I know. To clarify, I’m not saying I’ve never unintentionally blogged something that might suggest that, but over the weekend I spent hours reviewing previous blog posts and none stood out where this is the case. Over the years I’ve been fortunate to have met most Austinites of note & befriended many (especially in business, politics, nonprofits and the arts) and especially over the last 4 years (though from national nonprofit and corporate boards in previous years as well) also a lot of successful people & politicos from around the country.
