Don’t Deny Miranda Rights Nor Presume Guilt

(Community Matters)  First they came for the communists,
and I didn’t speak out because I wasn’t a communist.

Then they came for the socialists,
and I didn’t speak out because I wasn’t a socialist.

Then they came for the  trade unionists,
and I didn’t speak out because I wasn’t a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews,
and I didn’t speak out because I wasn’t a Jew.

Then they came for the Catholics,
and I didn’t speak out because I wasn’t a Catholic.

Then they came for me,
and there was no one left to speak for me.

I’m certainly not defending Dzhokhar Tsarnaev nor suggesting he doesn’t deserve the swift & full sentence of justice. And, we should think twice before listening to lynch mob sentiment.
